We have multiple permanent full-time opportunities available for reliable, motivated people with hands-on commercial construction experience who take pride in their work and want to be part of a good team.

Previous roofing experience is highly desirable, but you don’t need to be a qualified Roof Plumber. We’re interested in people with practical building experience, the right tickets and, importantly, a positive attitude and willingness to get involved and learn.

About the Role

As a Commercial Building Labourer, you’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople and site teams across a variety of commercial construction projects.

You’ll provide hands-on support across day-to-day site activities, including roofing and associated building works, material handling, site preparation and general construction activities.

We’re looking for people who are comfortable working at heights, know their way around a commercial construction site and can be relied upon to turn up, work safely and contribute positively to the team.

What You’ll Do

• Support tradespeople across commercial building and roofing activities.
• Assist with the installation and handling of roofing, cladding and associated materials.
• Undertake general construction and site labouring activities.
• Assist with site preparation and clean-up.
• Safely use hand and power tools.
• Work from Elevated Work Platforms where required.
• Work safely at heights and follow relevant procedures.
• Move and prepare materials and equipment for site activities.
• Work closely with Supervisors, tradespeople and project teams.
• Maintain a safe, clean and productive work environment.
• Follow all project WHS, quality and site requirements.

What You’ll Bring

To be considered, you’ll need:

• Previous experience working within commercial building or construction.
• Working at Heights ticket.
• Construction White Card.
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket.
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Confidence working safely at heights and within active construction environments.
• Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
• Reliable transport and a dependable approach to work.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Highly Desirable

• Previous commercial roofing experience.
• Experience assisting Roof Plumbers or roofing crews.
• Exposure to metal roofing, cladding, flashings or similar works.
• Additional construction tickets or licences.
• Experience working across larger commercial or industrial construction sites.
