Intract Australia is seeking an experienced Construction Manager – Defence Projects to join our Building & Construction team.

This role is ideal for a confident and grounded construction leader who knows how to bring teams together, manage complex project environments and deliver safely, professionally and to a high standard.

You will lead construction delivery across Defence projects from mobilisation through to commissioning, handover and defects close-out.

What You’ll Do

• Lead construction delivery from mobilisation through to handover
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, programme and construction methodology
• Drive safety, quality, compliance and project performance
• Coordinate sequencing, resources, logistics and site operations
• Support tendering, constructability reviews and delivery planning
• Build strong relationships with Defence stakeholders, consultants and subcontractors
• Mentor Site Managers, Engineers and Supervisors

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Building or Engineering, or extensive senior site leadership experience
• 10+ years’ construction management experience on major building or infrastructure projects
• Defence or government project experience highly regarded
• Experience delivering projects valued $20M+
• Strong leadership, planning and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance
