McMahon Services has secured a strong pipeline of demolition work across Sydney and New South Wales, with multiple projects underway and more commencing soon.
As our NSW operations continue to grow, we’re looking for multiple experienced Demolition Excavator Operators and Demolition Labourers to join our team and help deliver a range of industrial, commercial and complex demolition projects.
Whether you’re an experienced operator who knows their way around demolition plant or a hands-on Labourer with solid demolition experience, we want to hear from you.

About the Opportunities
Reporting to Site Supervisors and Project Managers, you’ll work across demolition projects throughout Metro and Regional NSW, contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of works across industrial, commercial and complex project environments.
Demolition Excavator Operators
You’ll operate demolition excavators and associated plant, working closely with Supervisors and site crews to safely undertake demolition activities and maintain productive site operations.
We’re particularly interested in Operators with experience across 20T–50T excavators and complex demolition environments.
Demolition Labourers
You’ll work alongside our Operators and site teams, supporting day-to-day demolition activities, site preparation, material handling, site clean-up and general demolition works.
We’re looking for experienced, hands-on people who understand demolition environments, take safety seriously and are happy to get stuck in and support the wider crew.
What You’ll Do
Depending on your role and experience, you may:
- Operate demolition excavators and associated plant safely and efficiently.
- Undertake demolition activities in line with project requirements and SafeWork NSW requirements.
- Complete plant pre-starts, inspections and basic equipment upkeep.
- Support general demolition and site preparation activities.
- Assist with sorting, handling and removal of demolition materials.
- Support site clean-up and maintain safe and organised work areas.
- Work closely with Supervisors, Operators and site crews to coordinate daily activities.
- Assist with oxy cutting and asbestos or hazardous materials-related activities where appropriately trained and required.
- Follow SWMS, risk controls and project safety requirements.
- Maintain strong safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Identify hazards or changing site conditions and communicate these to the site team.
- Support the wider crew as required to keep works moving safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Bring
For Excavator Operators
- Demonstrated experience operating plant within the demolition industry.
- Experience operating demolition excavators, ideally within the 20T–50T range.
- VOCs and Certificates of Attainment relevant to the plant and equipment you operate.
- Experience across industrial, commercial or complex demolition projects will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of demolition safety and site requirements.
For Demolition Labourers
- Previous hands-on experience within demolition, construction or a similar site environment.
- Demolition experience will be highly regarded.
- Confidence working around plant, equipment and active demolition works.
- Ability to undertake physically demanding and hands-on site activities.
- Strong awareness of site safety and willingness to follow established controls and procedures.

- Relevant tickets and competencies applicable to your role.

- Ability to meet relevant project and site clearance requirements.

- Additional plant tickets and competencies.
- Experience operating multiple pieces of plant.
- Working at Heights, EWP, Confined Space or other relevant tickets.
- Experience working within live or high-risk environments.
- A practical, team-focused attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
