McMahon Services is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our Corporate Services team.

This role is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll across a large, national workforce, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and company standards.

About the Role

This role is integral to the smooth operation of payroll across multiple entities, supporting end-to-end payroll processing and responding to employee and business queries.

You will work closely with the Payroll Manager and broader team to ensure accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement across payroll processes.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with end-to-end payroll processing across Australia and New Zealand
• Review timesheets, leave applications and payroll transactions for accuracy
• Process new starters, terminations and employee changes
• Manage payroll inbox queries and provide support to employees and managers
• Assist with monthly reporting, lodgements and payments
• Maintain employee records and payroll data integrity
• Provide support and training on timesheet systems

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in end-to-end payroll processing
• Understanding of Awards, EBAs and National Employment Standards
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder queries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll systems
• Experience with Access MicroPay or ConnX (desirable)
