The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced and motivated WHSEQ Advisor to join our team on a fixed-term contract, supporting a major construction project located approximately 150km from Alice Springs.

Working on a 5:2 Drive-In Drive-Out roster, you will play a key role in championing a positive safety culture, supporting project teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Camp accommodation and meals will be provided whilst onsite, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates based in Alice Springs or those looking to relocate to the region for the duration of the project.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing day-to-day WHSEQ support across a major construction project
• Driving site safety compliance through inspections, audits and incident investigations
• Partnering with project teams and the wider WHSEQ team to promote a proactive safety culture and achieve zero harm outcomes
• Supporting and maintaining WHSEQ management systems, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives
• Delivering toolbox talks, conducting site audits and providing practical recommendations to support project delivery
• Providing expert WHSEQ advice to operational teams and project stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

• Previous WHSEQ experience within construction, civil infrastructure or related industries
• Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to identify hazards, assess risks and implement effective control measures in fast-paced environments
• Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety
• Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain Defence clearance
