The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated WHSEQ Advisor to join our Northern Territory team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in championing a positive safety culture, supporting project teams and driving continuous improvement across a diverse portfolio of construction projects.

If you enjoy being hands-on, building strong relationships on site and influencing positive safety outcomes this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving site safety compliance through inspections, audits and incident investigations
  • Partnering with project teams and the wider WHSEQ team to promote a proactive safety culture and achieve zero harm outcomes
  • Supporting and maintaining WHSEQ management systems, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Delivering toolbox talks, conducting site audits and providing practical recommendations to support project delivery
  • Providing expert WHSEQ advice across a variety of construction and infrastructure projects throughout the NT

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous WHSEQ experience within construction, civil infrastructure or related industries
  • Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to identify hazards, assess risks and implement effective control measures in fast-paced environments
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety
  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain Defence clearance

  • Experience using WHSEQ management software systems
  • Demonstrated success improving compliance and reducing incidents across projects
  • Leadership capability with experience mentoring or supporting junior safety professionals
