About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Carpentry Trade Manager to lead our carpentry workforce across a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for providing leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to our carpentry teams while working closely with Project Managers and Site Managers to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Leading Hand, Site Supervisor or Carpentry Manager looking to take the next step into a broader leadership role within a growing national business.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor and support carpentry teams across multiple commercial construction projects.
- Coordinate labour resources to meet project programs and operational requirements.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Site Managers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, productivity and quality.
- Promote and lead a strong safety-first culture across all projects.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to apprentices and qualified tradespeople.
- Assist with workforce planning, recruitment and development of carpentry personnel.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality and project outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors and clients.
What You'll Bring
- Trade qualification in Carpentry.
- Demonstrated experience leading commercial carpentry teams.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.
- Current White Card and Driver's Licence.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Flexibility to travel to metropolitan and regional project locations when required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
