Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll take ownership of the successful delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects from planning through to completion. Working closely with clients, subcontractors and project teams, you'll lead all aspects of project delivery, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You'll provide leadership across engineering, commercial and site functions while fostering a collaborative culture and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, cash flow and commercial performance.
  • Oversee procurement, subcontractor management and contract administration.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Drive safety, quality and environmental performance across all project activities.
  • Identify and manage project risks while implementing practical solutions.
  • Prepare project reports, forecasts and progress updates for senior leadership.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and site personnel, supporting the development of high-performing teams.

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering civil infrastructure or construction projects as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer ready to step into a Project Manager role.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and contract administration.
  • Proven experience managing procurement, subcontractors and project planning.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, risk management and quality systems.
  • Current White Card and Driver's Licence.
  • National Police Clearance

What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience delivering Defence or Defence-related infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership and people management capability.
  • Experience delivering roads, earthworks and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to build trusted client relationships.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
  • Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality project outcomes.

Why Join Intract?
