About the Role

With continued growth across our Engineering & Projects business, we're seeking an accomplished Project Director to provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of complex multidisciplinary turnkey projects.

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll lead Project Managers, Site Managers and Engineering teams while driving commercial performance, strengthening client relationships and contributing to the ongoing growth of the Engineering & Projects Customer Stream. You'll play a key role in shaping project outcomes, mentoring future leaders and supporting the strategic direction of the business.

Our Engineering & Projects business delivers projects across a diverse range of industries, including Defence, mining and resources, water infrastructure, industrial facilities, marine, oil and gas, food and beverage, bulk material handling, structural, mechanical and piping (SMP), and general construction. This breadth of capability provides genuine project diversity, allowing you to oversee technically challenging projects, build lasting client partnerships and influence the successful delivery of major projects across Australia.

What You'll Do

• Lead the successful delivery of multiple major engineering and construction projects.
• Drive commercial performance, forecasting and project profitability.
• Build and strengthen long-term client and stakeholder relationships.
• Lead, mentor and develop Project Managers and project delivery teams.
• Support business development, strategic planning and future tender opportunities.
• Provide technical, commercial and operational leadership across the project portfolio. 

Executive Leadership Experience

• Experience leading portfolios of major engineering or construction projects.
• Proven success building long-term client relationships and securing repeat business.
• Strong business development, commercial and strategic planning capability.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing high-performing project teams.
• A track record of improving project performance, profitability and operational outcomes.

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years' experience delivering major engineering or construction projects.
• Strong commercial, contractual and financial management capability.
• Demonstrated leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
