  • Build financial and cost models to support business decision-making.
  • Investigate financial discrepancies and identify root causes.
  • Maintain findings and issues registers and track actions through to resolution.
  • Review transactions for appropriate Delegation of Authority and identify potential unauthorised activity.
  • Review master data integrity and associated controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and automation.
  • Prepare analysis, reporting and presentation materials for senior management.
  • Build strong working relationships across Projects, Commercial and Finance teams.

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial analysis, accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong experience building financial or cost models.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working across multiple financial systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • High attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy.
  • Confidence working independently and challenging information when required.

What Will Set You Apart

  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including AASB 15, revenue recognition and project cost-to-cost/WIP concepts.
  • Experience within construction, project-based or contract-driven environments.
  • Understanding of contract structures, including cost-plus arrangements.
  • Experience in project assurance, audit, controls or forensic analysis.
  • Strong interest in process improvement, automation and better use of financial data.
  • A high level of integrity, independence and professional judgement.
