McMahon Services is seeking an experienced leader to take on the role of Manager – Estimating & Strategy within our Civil & Infrastructure business.

This role is responsible for leading our pre-contracts capability, driving tendering performance, shaping pipeline opportunities and strengthening client engagement across the business.

About the Role

This role is accountable for the performance and quality of our estimating function, while providing strategic leadership across tendering, commercial decision-making and opportunity development.

As part of the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping go/no-go decisions, developing winning strategies, engaging with clients early and ensuring strong handover from tender to delivery.

What You’ll Lead

• Lead and develop the estimating team across Civil & Infrastructure opportunities
• Drive tendering strategy, including go/no-go decisions and winning approaches
• Identify and shape pipeline opportunities through early client engagement
• Build and maintain strong client, supplier and stakeholder relationships
• Manage commercial risk, contract review and negotiation processes
• Ensure high-quality tender submissions and effective project handovers

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive experience in civil/infrastructure project delivery and estimating
• Proven leadership experience managing estimating or pre-contracts teams
• Strong commercial acumen, including contracts, risk and negotiation
• Experience engaging with clients and contributing to pipeline development
• Ability to drive strategy, performance and continuous improvement
