As a Project Engineer - Civil, you will support the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects across New South Wales, with involvement across both pre-contracts and project delivery phases. Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients, you will assist with tendering, planning, procurement, scheduling, and on-site execution to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role
Reporting to the Site Manager and Project Managers, you will support both pre-contract and project delivery activities across a range of civil projects. This will include assisting with tender submissions, project planning, procurement, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and on-site delivery. You will work closely with subcontractors and site crews to achieve strong safety, quality, and program outcomes while ensuring works are delivered in line with project requirements. Primarily based from our Alexandria office, the role will also involve site-based work across NSW project locations as required.
What You’ll Do
- Technical Support & Coordination: Support engineering and site teams while coordinating subcontractors and suppliers across pre-contract and delivery phases.
- Project & Financial Management: Assist with project budgets, schedules, forecasting, progress claims, and variations to support successful project delivery.
- Procurement & Contracts: Support procurement, tendering, subcontractor coordination, and contract administration activities.
- Safety, Risk & Quality: Promote a strong safety-first culture while supporting project quality, compliance, and risk management requirements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare RFIs, technical documentation, progress reports, and other project records in line with project requirements.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience across pre-contracts and project delivery within the civil construction or engineering sector.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- Experience in project coordination, contract administration, procurement, scheduling, and cost control.
- Understanding of Australian civil engineering standards, site safety requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Proficiency in project management and project delivery platforms such as InEight, Aconex, Procore, or similar systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Current White Card and Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to obtain Defence clearance and other project-specific clearances where required.
