As a Project Engineer – Demolition, you will support the successful delivery of demolition, hazmat, remediation, and civil projects across New South Wales. Working closely with multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors, and clients, you will assist with planning, procurement, scheduling, and on-site execution to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role
Reporting to the Site Manager and Project Managers, you will support project delivery activities across a range of demolition, hazmat, remediation, and civil projects. This will include project planning, subcontractor coordination, procurement, scheduling, and on-site delivery activities across complex and high-risk environments. You will work closely with subcontractors and site crews to achieve strong safety, quality, and program outcomes while ensuring works are delivered in line with project requirements. Primarily based from our Alexandria office, the role will also involve site-based work across NSW project locations as required.
What You’ll Do
- Technical Support & Coordination: Support engineering and site teams while coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site project activities.
- Project & Financial Management: Assist with project budgets, schedules, forecasting, progress claims, and variations to support successful project delivery.
- Procurement & Contracts: Support procurement, subcontractor coordination, and contract administration activities.
- Safety, Risk & Environmental Compliance: Promote a strong safety-first culture while supporting environmental, hazmat, quality, compliance, and risk management requirements across all project activities.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare RFIs, technical documentation, progress reports, site records, and other project documentation in line with project requirements.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience delivering demolition and civil projects across both self-performed and subcontractor delivery environments within the construction or engineering sectors.
- Exposure to hazardous materials, remediation, or other high-risk project environments.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- Experience in project coordination, contract administration, procurement, scheduling, and cost control.
- Understanding of civil construction methodologies, site safety requirements, environmental controls, hazmat compliance, and contractual obligations.
- Proficiency in project management and project delivery platforms such as InEight, Aconex, Procore, or similar systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Current White Card and Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to obtain Defence clearance and other project-specific clearances where required.
