McMahon Services is seeking reliable and safety-focused Industrial Cleaning Operators to support industrial cleaning operations at a major site in Port Pirie, South Australia.

This is a practical, on-the-ground role suited to people with experience in industrial, construction, civil or mining environments. You’ll work across day, night and weekend shifts, supporting routine, planned and reactive cleaning works using specialised equipment. Local applicants are strongly preferred.

About the Role

Reporting to the Industrial Cleaning Supervisor, you’ll carry out a wide range of industrial cleaning tasks using vac trucks, combo vac/jet units and high-pressure water jetting equipment. You’ll work as part of a crew, following safe work instructions and supporting shutdowns, call-ins and overtime as required.

What You’ll Do

• Operate vacuum loading trucks, combo units and hydro-jetting equipment
• Clean pits, sumps, drains, tanks, conveyors, fans, flues and structural areas
• Follow SWIs, JSA/SWMS and supervisor directions at all times
• Complete equipment pre-start checks and maintain clean work areas
• Report hazards, defects and incidents promptly
• Participate in pre-starts, toolbox talks, shutdowns and overtime as required

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in industrial, construction, civil or mining environments
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work in high-risk settings
• Physical capability to work in PPE, confined spaces and hot/dusty conditions
• Ability to work 10–12 hour shifts, including nights and weekends
• Reliable, punctual and committed to safe work

What Will Set You Apart

• High Pressure Water Jetting and vacuum loading / hydro-vac experience
• HR Truck Licence
• High-risk work tickets including confined space, working at heights and gas testing
• Experience in heavy industrial environments (smelters or refineries)
• Port Pirie / local applicants strongly preferred
